Over this past week I have tried the following towards my teacher inquiry:

I had Max read the book "Dan the flying man". Then i had him make using maths equipment the scenes and take photos. I plan to have him make a story on comic life putting the events in order. This is proving to be EXTREMLY time consuming though.

Also, I had Max read his story in vocaroo, but then he accidently wiped the record! These sorts of things can lead to being quite tricky to succeed with.

Vocaroo 6 Aug 2010

Today I had Rinaldo and Hali read there book on Vocaroo after they had finished reading with me today. This was a good reinforcer and help to retain some of the new words. They then listened to their recording = listening to the book for a third time. Great stuff!!!

Ok I have decided to use the blog as a way of recording as I thought this would be a way to put the ICT work. As it happens the kidpix I tried to load was unsuccessful.

Anyway today I typed out a small piece of reading for Max and he needed to read and comprehend it and draw the scene on kid pix.

It read:

The dog is big. The dog is black. The dog has blue eyes. He has a red collar. His name is Hutch.

I will print the picture and put in my file.

Really happy with how this went - I feel it was purposeful!
